The man behind the name

Born in the barracks of Honolulu, Hawaii, Michael Woodliff lived with the Aloha Spirit in all of his pursuits. One of four boys and the son of a U.S. Army Major, his belief in service to community and country started early.

Mike enlisted in the Army at age 17 and became known for protecting others. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were where he ultimately gave his all on March 2, 2004, during a military convoy in Baghdad, Iraq.
